I never said “losing record.” I said I thought that there was a “good chance that we might ‘struggle’ this season” based on even the very early dynamics that I saw developing.

Well, sadly, I think that is even more likely. It just is.
This is not an “I told you so” post as much as a finger wag at the small handful of dudes on here that feel themselves “experts” and are not afraid to insult anyone who might be able to analyze a team better than them.
Well here it is. The multiple problems are just as obvious as the third game we played, except teams now use our losses as a “boilerplate” on us…they have figured us out. We have no consistent shooters. We are not proficient at FT. Ball handling is sad and “the guy” we brought in with experience performs worse than a pure freshman might. Teams sag in and clump on our formerly-reliable big guy.
I didn’t need an additional five games to see this coming.
It was @dgardner02 that insisted to me how wrong I was, said that “this was going to be a very dangerous team” and finished with a personal insult…
I believe that We’re gonna win some games due to our basic talent, a couple of enthusiastic freshmen and because we will match up athletically with several Big 10 teams.
Juwan Howard is not a magician, and I do not agree with beating our coach up. Is it his fault that we did not KEEP…or PROCURE a good, pure shooter? Ahhh, maybe some blame lays on his shoulders for the latter. But he has what he has. And most coaches “can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.”
