With an offense like Ohio State you never want to try and run with them. The only team that can do this in college football is Clemson. I've also been on record saying OSU cringes when they meet Clemson because Clemson has the horses they have and better at some positions.
So what you need is a methodical offense that sustains drives, keeps their offense off the field, and still has big play capability. Then you need a defense like we believe we have that can disrupt their offense. That's why I'm so confident in this staff to beat osu this year.
This is why I knew TCU would not hold up. You dont beat OSU at their own game, unless you're the outlier Clemson. TCU started to run ill advised plays like option plays at very inopportune times because they were on the defensive. Run that stuff when you've got the defense on its heels not when they have momentum and coming at you downhill with a full head of steam.
Sure if we cant sustain drives we lose, but this is the exact offense I want to go against osu.
