I said a week or so ago that I didn't think UM was a top 10 team...

it has a top 10 defense (maybe # 1) and yesterday it played top 10 ST's under the end but it doesn't have a top 75 offense. What happens when this team doesn't have really good ST's and they play on the road against PSU in that environment? If you can't score then you in theory are tied 0-0 with even the best defense assuming no TO's.

This program is on the rise. Thinks are looking good. Sucks today but if you are completely honest with yourself this team could have won any game but they could also lose some games too...and I am not just talking about OSU.

This team almost stole that game yesterday against a team than is really a top 5 team and UM more like a top 20 team. Look at the numbers.

AB/someone said...not quite ready for prime time. The loss hurts but come on folks...this team is overachieving like nobody's business. UM has basically the same players on offense from the Hoke except a grad transfer who was let go by Iowa because he lost his job.

I LOVE having Rudock on this team but don't kid yourself...these coaches had to put there best defensive player on offense otherwise it would have never come down to the last play.

I hate being right! Dang it.

For the record...nothing really surprised me during the game. Thought it would be close. Outside of the last play...Cook was the best player on the field but UM did exactly what it has showed over the course of the season.

I thought the defense is almost elite and UM should be proud of a hard fought performance. The better team won.

If MSU had Jack Allen I think MSU would have won it before the last play. MSU wins this game 8 out of 10 times on a neutral field. UM is a high end qb and a very good rb/wr from being top 5-10. This program is in great hands.

These would've could've if they had this or that are ridiculous. Both teams faced injuries, stupid disqualifications, etc. we lost on a freaking fluke play period. Ten more seconds and Reality Man is leading a marching band parade down State in his skivvies singing drunken diddies about Urban's family tree.

If they get Allen, can we get Ojemudia and Mone back? How about having Ross and Bolden available for the full game instead of each missing half due to bullcrap targeting suspensions?

I see no reason to believe they'd have won that many if they played 10 times. They shot their wad yesterday, going for it on four fourth downs (one a fake punt), running a couple of trick plays that worked to perfection, got no less than four drives extended by Michigan penalties (one of which overturned an interception), had a Michigan player ejected (after pushing him into Cook), and then got the luckiest play in history . . . and never led. But apparently, if we played them nine more times they'd get even more breaks?

It will be interesting to see what happens in that game at PSU. Hackenberg is not setting the world on fire either.

Thank you jemblue, exactly. For God's sake Wolverine nation, we should have won the game save the special team's equivalent of a Hail Mary! My chest is out today and I'm not making any apologies to Sparty, they caught us at our weakest under Harbaugh (mediocre, game-managing QB, mediocre WRs, upright, but mediocre OL), that is not going to be the situation in the years to come. We are going to have Henne and Brady generals at QB, we will have Edwards and Terrell at WR, and we will have Jansen and Long manning the line. I hope Sparty is ready for the war, because this game is just the first taste of better things to come for UM.
