opens up the offense and spreads them out. We have an immense advantage on the outside and with team speed in general. JO has a very quick release, especially compared to Speight, and is tailor made for a quick passing offense with run pass options. Watching MSU this year they're a team that is not only extremely young in the secondary, but athletically their linebackers and back end of the defense is limited at best. They're a downhill defense that will plug the middle, and I think we will have a really hard time running it down their throats.
I truly believe we have been extremely vanilla so far this season due to immense talent advantages against all of our opponents, and a total lack of concern for Florida's offense. We have been very effective when we spread teams out, and heard all summer that we have been utilizing 3, 4, and 5 WR sets regularly in practice. How sweet would it be for Oliver Martin to make his debut and score against MSU?
And for those worried about this game: this will be Lewerke's first ever road start. Night game, 114,000, the best defense he will likely ever face, and Don Brown.
We're going to be just fine.
