I love this metaphor from Harbaugh and it's spot on. It's hard to change

the momentum and this team after the MSU loss could have been devastated and it did something really good...it laid a foundation going forward to get UM back on top of the Big Ten.



This team, Harbaugh says, stopped that negative momentum.

"I think of (a program) as not a static foundation but a locomotive that's moving down the tracks. Constantly in motion," "Harbaugh added. "(The Michigan) train was moving in a direction, and this team stopped it. They stopped that momentum, that direction, and they turned it around.

"And that's not easy to do. They turned it right around on the tracks and got it going. It's left the station and it's picking up steam and we're going to continue."
