in high school exists a 2-star player that is more athletic then any big man we have ever recruited under JB that loves to hit the gym, is big, and while may not be a good shooter at all is willing be rebound, bruise with the best of them and be tough in the middle. I know for a fact there is because Minn has 3 of them. Yet JB insists on recruiting tall men that can shoot versus tall coordinated men. We need more Jordan Morgans and McGary instead of Doyle, Wagner, Horford, etc. We own the title of having the most uncoordinated and unathletic big men in the league!!!
This team is incredibly soft - if a D plays without pressure, we kill teams but the minute they pressure the ball, we don't know what to do. JB is a purist, he teaches the teams to play pure fundamental basketball not tough basketball. Even in the Burke days we always stank at pressure inbound situations and I don't see it ever improving.
I love JB but man he needs some "tough" on this team. That is what I loved about Stauskas, Burke, McGary and Morgan - they were just tough guys. We have zero on our team - probably a bunch of high character and really nice guys but nobody that plays angry and with a conviction to just pound it!
