I hate to interrupt but your thoughts on the game so far?

My half time thoughts.

1. Deveon looks like he lost about 7 or so lbs.2
2. Chris Evans is clearly the more explosive back and will play a lot. Getting him ready for big time contributions.
3. Speight locks onto his wr's and not a great ball thrower although he will improve. Big issue is going to be how he plays on the road. Hard to tell against Hawaii.
4. Defense is legit. Glad to see Hawaii go to the spread to help this defense get better.
5. I thought the lb'ers were very impressive. Very good.

Bottom line is UM is going to need this offense to get better and anything between average to above average will give UM a chance to beat almost anyone except maybe Clemson. UM is built to beat anyone with solid qb play and continued OL and running game development.

I think JH played 16 true freshmen today, a school record and it shows new recruits that he's not afraid to play youngsters.

That should get the attention of potential recuits...especially guys who think they are ready to play.

He played 17 frosh today. He's the exact opposite of D'Antonio who loads up players to play for 5 years which has been one of the big reasons for his success over the past couple years. Freshmen want to play right away, I think with Gary and Evans getting really meaningful PT and Bredeson as well it will get a lot of attention with recruits because neither play a position where we don't have any depth. We have tons of RBs, lots of upperclassmen on the O-line and a stacked D-line.

His message is, best players will play - versus seniority and all that BS. I personally think if we can somehow go 10-2 or better, we will see a very stacked recruiting class this year. Plus don't forget that we likely lose about 15+ starters next year so it's great that frosh are getting to play and get experience.

If we build on what we saw today a 10-2 season may be modest aspirations
