When I consider how many years UM suffered from a "next up" player entitlement mentality. Gone are the days of promising players not to recruit their position, expectations that those that stay will start, and gifting playing time to upperclassmen. The thought that our guys now have to claw, scratch and fight their way to their starting jobs each year is refreshing, fantastic for motivating improvement, and a great recruiting tool. Yeah we likely lost Jack Miller last year because of it, and will lose others down the road, but this will breed a mindset and team culture that reaps championships.
