Robinson didn't have a good shooting night but maybe the venue? Dawkins...off too. It's going to be a long season if 3 out of the 4 primary shooters are what 3-20 or so at 3 pt shots it's not going to be fun.

Listening to Beilein..he says UM has to shoot better and 1st half they didn't play as well. I love the JB system but if his guys aren't making shots...it's not pretty. Still perturbed Irvin thinks he is a good 3 pt shooter...he is NOT.

They will get plenty of minutes combined...Robinson is the scoring 6th man. Plenty of minutes for both of them and nothing is stoping JB from playing some zone while Irvin is resting.

You are right...ton of minutes? No...but those two guys need to score and as I have mentioned...20 pts minimum need to come from these guys combined every night or the team is going to struggle.

See last two games. They don't score...UM is going to lose because who else is going to score enough? Dawkins and Robinson are basically like Stauskas (soph) or THJ or some version of them. I believe in them and they will have some off nights but a good solid portion of the scoring needs to come from them.

Dawkins 30 minutes
Robinson 20 minutes

or however you want to split up the minutes. If you only want 40 minutes out of them then UM will be swimming up stream even more because Chatman and others will just clog up the offense. Team needs scoring and to figure out how to cover up their liabilities when they go zone or go small.

UofM won't even make the NCAA's, face it. They look lost, and so does the coach. Next year they lose Levert so it will make 3 years of missing the NCAA. UofM is in a world of hurt now that they have extended the contract with a guy that cannot bring championship consistency to Ann Arbor. Never can get the top recruit when it comes down to the nitty gritty as well and recruits will really be turning their back on him now that losing is becoming the norm. UofM Bball so in rough shape. We are in a 3-5year rebuilding phase.....again. Goodbye JB

More like a 2-3 year rebuilding phase. Hope this team re-groups to get to 10-3 or 9-4 in pre-conference play; then a .500 record in the league might be enough to get into the tournament. Battle4Atlantis is a tough field.

My response would be this team needs to mature because the talent is on the roster but not the ability to win. Team needs to find an identity such as Irvin not chucking 3 pt'ers and the team taking greater pride on defense.

I will give the team credit that they played harder against UConn but they did against Xavier but I never thought they would shoot the ball so poorly. They actually cut the league to 8 points with 3-4 minutes left which is amazing consider how poorly they shot the ball as a team. I think they will improve as the season progresses but they need to improve quickly to put themselves in position to make the NCAA tournament. Irvin should not be playing so much if he's still hurt. If he's not hurt he needs to drive to become more active on defense, rebounding and driving to the basket. Walton also has to regain his form. They have to pick things up quickly.
