I didn't watch the game . Didn't feel good all week about what the outcome would be. Told my wife I was just going to record it and watch it later. An idea that given my current health condition she thought was one of my smarter life time decisions.
Went downstairs and did wood working the whole the game and came up just in time to see the score with two minutes to go. Clicked over and deleted the recording and went out and sat on the deck and watched the shrimp boats in the gulf and the birds flying around. That was a good idea also.
Given I might not see another game against OSU this one really stung. I still think this was a successful season in a lot of ways and probably way better than a lot of people thought it would be when it started.
Won't judge the season on this one game, even with the egg that it was. Watched way to many games in HS, college, and pros where a really good team played poorly and lost. OSU did against Purdue and almost repeated it against Maryland we did ours Saturday.
If we win the bowl game we will finish in the top 10 - I will take that every year.
Now it is back to the garage to build my wife a table she wants to put the Christmas tree on.
For those of you who have tracked my condition. I am doing pretty well, in fact I am going for a 11 mile walk/run on Wednesday if the weather is good. Goal is to get in 1-2 half marathons next year. The last MRI was good, showed the area where the tumor was removed is not expanding. The first MRI that showed that and they actually thought that area may be smaller. The color of the contrast was actually better also. The oncologist stopped the 5 day a month chemo last month because I was having some bad reactions to the chemo I was taking and the MRI showed some positive results. Still on the Immune IV every two weeks which is a chemo drug also but which I tolerate very well. Next MRI is December 18th, four days before the MRI was done that showed the tumor last year.
What an adventure this year has been.
Go Blue!
