1. 1976 national runner up
2. 1989 National Champions
3. 1992 Fab 5
4. 1993 Fab 5
5. 2013 national runner up
6. 2018 national runner up
7. Our 2021 team
I would include the Cazzie teams, but I was a little young to really understand the game then.
I will rank them like this:
1, 6, 5, 7, 2, 3, 4 (7 being incompletecould end up higher
I think the 76, 13, 18, and 21 teams rank highest because they were/are surprises and over-achievers, played really well together, and played a fun, exciting style.
The 89 team’s tournament run was all of those, but they were really frustrating at times during the regular season. The 92 Fab Five was also a surprise because they were all freshman, but they were so talented the question was not if but when they win a Natty. Unfortunately, the 93 team underachieved. They didn’t win the Big Ten, put it on cruise control until the championship game, then pissed away a 10 point halftime lead and lost to a NC team they should have blown out.
What say you?
