If I had to look at one thing that will make or break our season it would be the oline. Wilt is limited , but with a between the tackles running game we could "hide " him. It is obvious that at best we have an average oline. Sorry Wilt, no hiding now. Last year the oline and the inability to run the ball late in games cost us a playoff spot. This year , those 3 losses could become 4 due to an even more mediocre line.
Isaac has run well but has often bounced out as there was no hole at the point of attack. Evans hasn't the mass or pop to get through the wall of defenders waiting at the line. Maybe, just maybe, Samuels will lose his redshirt as Jim tries to find a back who can power through an immediate hit or two.
Both sides of the ball appeared to be a little low on energy. Not good, but it happens. I imagine all the miscues and rookie mistakes deflated the team a bit. Maybe we learned a lesson or two and still got a win..Not a bad deal.Very hard to follow the hype of the Florida game with a great effort..but...it will cost us if we don't figure it out.
