If only these teams played....oh wait they did, and OSU beat Illinois handily on the road (never trailed). I guess you can stick your chest out when you run through the gauntlet of Nebraska, Northwestern and Minnesota.
Then there are fans arguing that Illinois should be the #1 overall seed in the tournament if it ran the table, you know despite the fact they have 5 more losses than Baylor who kicked their ass on a neutral site.
There always has been a disconnect between how Illinois fans view their program and how the world sees it. But take that and multiply it by 1000 this year.
