but here’s the deal: JH took us from the abyss to basically exactly what we’ve always been. He’s essentially become late era Lloyd Carr, and that’s not a bad thing. What we NEED is a new dc, and, imo, how we fix this is will muschamp. He’s almost assuredly getting tired this year at South Carolina, he’s a tremendous recruiter, still relatively young, and had amazing success under some of the best coaches in football.
Don Brown must go, Harbaugh should not. There is not a “slam dunk” out there right now. There is not a candidate we should feel good about taking us to the next level. We can not afford to roll the dice. Harbaugh took a program that was under .500 in conference for 7 years and got us to 9-10 win seasons. Is that ideal? No, is it bad? It is not. We have a ton of talent on offense, our highest rated QB recruit in forever, and an incredibly young team. Let’s save this recruiting class, throw 2.5 million at a Star dc like muschamp, and take another run at this with JH.
