I had someone reach out to me this afternoon to give me some more information behind two of the major players involved in the big NIL announcement set to be announced at the Chop House on 3/31.

One of those major players, Chin Weerappuli, is highly recommended by Jim Harbaugh and even comes with a letter of recommendation by the man himself.

You can view that letter by clicking here.

Let's get started.

Chin Weerappuli

Chin Weerappuli serves as President of Hail! Impact. He is a two time graduate of the University of Michigan completing his BA in 2011 and MBA in 2022. In between degrees, Chin held a 10+ year career in Healthcare software consulting working for Epic Systems and Healthcare Control Systems. Chin was one of the first 15 recruited for the management consulting division at Epic that has grown to over 600.

In 2020 Chin also founded his first nonprofit organization – The Underdog Family – a volunteer-run 501c3 organization that provides technical resources to woman owned and BIPOC owned small businesses while taking care of 100% of the costs. Shortly after graduating from Michigan Ross in 2022, Chin entered the world of College Athletics, serving as the Assistant to Coach Harbaugh for the 2022 season. During that time, he also received an executive coaching certification from Northwestern University.

Chin absolutely bleeds Maize and Blue, having attended over 100 U of M sporting events across 15 States. He currently lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he enjoys hiking, pond hockey, skiing, and adding to his list of 40+ countries he’s visited across the world.

Andy Johnson

Andy serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Development Officer and Chief Legal Officer of 3D Systems Corporation (NYSE : DDD), a global provider of 3D printing solutions for industrial and healthcare applications. He joined 3D Systems in 2006 and previously served as Interim President and CEO from October 2015 until April 2016. He graduated from Miami University with a B.A. in political science, diplomacy & foreign affairs and religion, received his J.D. from the University of Virginia and M.B.A. from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.

Andy also serves as a director of Reverb, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on environmental and social issues in the music industry. Andy is a lifelong Michigan fan and had the honor of creating the George Jewett Trophy in 2021 in partnership with the University of Michigan and Northwestern University Athletic Departments.
