I wanted to make this post to give a timeline of sorts of what we knew when we knew it. All of the information we have posted this week in one, easy-to-read piece in case you missed anything or for those who are new and wanted to get caught up.

I will continue to keep my ear on the ground and will post new information when I get it. There won't be anything new, just compiling everything into one piece.

Here we go:

11/20: Positive news for Blake Corum

Initial fears were a torn meniscus for Blake Corum after the game. Something he could play on, for sure, but pain management is key.

Appears those fears were just that, fears before tests could take place after the game. Corum had tests today and those came back good. No structural damage, no other damage.

MAJOR bullet dodged.

Pain management will be key this week. I don’t know what that means for availability because he took a pretty good shot on the knee. We’ll see this week.

11/21: What I know as of 11/21

I want to preface this post by saying that there was not a full practice today, no pads, none of that. So take all of this with a grain of salt.

Here’s what I know as of Monday:

- Junior Colson left the game Saturday after being banged up and didn’t return late in the game. I am told that he was a full participant in walkthroughs on Monday.
- Blake Corum did NOT participate in walkthroughs today. Instead, he underwent treatment the entire walkthrough. My source takes that as a hopeful sign for Saturday.
- As for Donovan Edwards, he was NOT a participant in walkthroughs today. I DO NOT take this as a negative, not one bit.

Again, I want to preface that it is still VERY early in the week and playing status isn’t going to be decided on a Monday if the guy is on the fence. Things will come into focus as the week progresses.

It is my OPINION that both Corum and Edwards will give it a go on Saturday. We will see if my opinion comes into shape as the week progresses.

More when I can get it.

11/22: Quick update on Corum

I posted it in the other thread but I think it deserves mentioning on its own, too.

Was told that Blake Corum was a “light” participant in practice today.

Before you ask, I don’t know what that entails or what it means moving forward but I am getting info as I get it. So we’ll see. The way this week is trending, unless I get something rock solid, I don’t know if I’ll be able to make a prediction for Saturday. That’s not a bad thing, I just don’t want to guess if I can help it.

More when I have it.

HQH Plus: What I know as of 11/22

I am going to preface this post by saying that this week is going to be a rollercoaster. Information is going to be sparse but I am going to do my absolute best to give you the information when I can get it no matter whether it's good news, great news or news that could ruin your day.

So let's get started.

There is vagueness to all of this and do keep in mind that it is Tuesday of game week, so there are a few days to get through in order to make a final determination of what's going to happen in regard to player status.

I may not report any determinations at all depending on how this week goes.

As for the status of Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards, I will refer to them as trends. Whether one is trending up to play or trending down.

For Corum, I would classify him right now as trending down for Saturday. Obviously, this isn't final and I am NOT reporting he will not play, the optimism (from multiple well-placed sources) in Ann Arbor is not particularly high at the moment. Again, it's Tuesday. We'll see what happens.

For Edwards, I classify him as trending up for Saturday. Multiple well-placed sources are feeling optimistic that he will play on Saturday. We will see what happens there.

Other players I view as TRENDING UP include Junior Colson, Luke Schoonmaker and Mike Morris (barring any setbacks).

I said yesterday that I don't plan on doing daily updates, only when I get relevant information. I will continue to dig throughout the week and when I find anything that is deemed worthy to share, I will do so.

Hang in there this week. We are all doing our best to find out what's going on.

11/23: Update on Donovan Edwards

Was told he practiced yesterday. People are fairly open about their optimism that he’s going to play Saturday.

I can’t say whether he will or wont play but I’ll share what I know.

Doubt you’ll see me report whether he, or Blake, are in or out until Saturday at noon. It’s just one of those weeks.

Henschke's Quick Hitters 11/23: Practice rumblings and trends

Received more pertinent intel as Michigan prepares for Ohio State this week. Again, I don't have enough to suggest which way these players go, just what I am hearing from this day in particular.

Let's get started.

Who is trending up?

Luke Schoonmaker, Mike Morris, Trevor Keegan, AJ Henning and Donovan Edwards continue to trend in the right direction. What's unclear is what percentage these guys will be IF they end up playing on Saturday. Of course, every player is banged up around this time of the year, everyone isn't 100% but the goal is to be close to 100% as possible. What's unclear is where these guys will be if they do decide to play.

According to a well-placed source, the players listed above were full participants in practice today. We'll see what happens on Saturday.

As for the above information, I consider each player TRENDING UP for Saturday. To make it abundantly clear, this is not a report of whether they will play, just what I am hearing at this point in the week.

Trending slightly up

I have continued to hear that Blake Corum was another light participant in practice today. The same idea as yesterday, light jogging, some install work and walkthroughs. The fact that he's been able to do this two days in a row should be considered a positive sign but not the final indicator of his status for Saturday.

It goes without saying that IF Corum were to play on Saturday, he won't be 100%.

With the information I have, I consider Corum TRENDING SLIGHTLY UP, which is a small change from when there was pessimism surrounding his status earlier in the week when I listed him as trending down.

Again, what Saturday looks like is to be determined.

That's all I have for now. Stay tuned for further updates if/when I can get them.

Henschke's Quick Hitters 11/24: What we're hearing leading up to Ohio State

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I know I said I was going to unplug today and be back at it tomorrow but I received some intel today that requires me to post tonight and not hold on. Also, I am a monster and couldn't stay away no matter what! lol

Let's get down to it.

Blake Corum's status is beginning to take shape

There's no beating around the bush here, Corum was 'full' today in practice and was wearing a knee brace in practice. I was told by a source that he took some 'live-type' reps during the practice.

With the news I've received all week, I am beginning to believe he is currently trending way up for his status on Saturday. Not totally out of the woods yet but there's been a pretty clear path of progression.

As for the others...

Nothing has really changed there, all are trending way up for Saturday. Those names include Luke Schoonmaker, Mike Morris, Trevor Keegan, Donovan Edwards and A.J. Henning. We'll see how many in the group end up playing. If they're good to go, they will. Time will tell.

The mood in the program

Mood surrounding the program is good. Spirits are high and the program feels ready for the challenge on Saturday. Not concerned about the weather being nice. They know this is the best team they have seen all year.

Not sure what Friday is going to look like but I will have more IF I can get it before Saturday.
