I've posted these thoughts separately and figured I'd try to tie them together.

1. In post season do-or-die games, you generally extend your starters minutes a little bit. A combination of adrenaline an no need to save legs anymore.
Example: In our 2012/13 OT game against Kansas, Burke played 44 of 45 minutes. GRIII 42, Stauskas and Hardaway 39, McGary 35. One week later vs Syracuse Hardaway, Burke, McGary, and GRIII played 39, 38, 36, and 35 minutes respectively.

2. Our depth was a luxury this year that allowed us to let players play within their roles. We have players comfortable with more minutes, though. Comparison of 2019/20 mpg to 2020/21 mpg:
Mike Smith: 37.7 to 31.2
Eli Brooks: 32.0 to 30.1
Chaundee Brown: 28.2 to 20.1
Brandon Johns: 19.5 to 10.0

3. Franz, Smith, and and Brooks can easily bump their 30-32mpg to 32-35mpg. Chaundee up from 20 to 32, Johns from 10 to 20.

I think you can get by tightening up to a 7 man rotation in the NCAA Tournament and not rely on Zeb or TWill for anything more than spot minutes.
