How the heck does Utah lose to Zona?

Rich Rod's team can put up points on a lot of teams. It's his defense that is the big issue usually. Remember, this is the team that played in the PAC championship game last year so they are not a bunch of scrubs.

as memory serves RR's team lost something like 59-0 in that game. It was not the same Utah team we remember. Getting an ass kicking by USC stole Utah's spirit.

Rich Rod's team can also lose to a 4-6 Washington team by 46 points.

Except when they can't put up points. His UM teams rarely scored much against good defenses, but we could get into shootouts with Purdue playing their 3rd string QB.
He did average an amazing 8 ppg vs TUOS.

It was 51-13 against a very solid Oregon team that demolished Florida State by about the same margin. So yeah, would I take a 10-2 season going into a championship game that Arizona had last year - yes! He lost by 2 to USC and by a missed catch to UCLA. Now, his team has massively regressed this year so who know what the heck is going on there and nor do I care. Having said that, does not change that fact that given the right type of players Rich Rod is probably a Top 3 offensive mind in college. He just needs to drink some defensive Kool Aid.

St. Joe, USC ran over Utah, passed through Utah, throttled Utah's offense and snuffed the #3 ranked team. Zona jumped to a 17 or 21-0 lead and Utah's offense couldn't overcome the lead despite cheap shotting the #1 QB out of the game. A second stringer launched the winning TD for RR.

The Utah team hasn't looked the same since USC, hence my thought about stealing their spirit. I think they have one win sandwiched between USC and Zona.
