How does the OSU hegemony over the Big Ten End?

Ohio State has enjoyed domination over the Big Ten since 2000.

No one else remotely comes close to their accomplishments in the last 20 years, certainly not Michigan
Few programs anywhere in the country in recent history have been as dominant over their conference as OSU has been in the last 20 years.
It has reached the point where, OSU does not compete against any team in the Big Ten (sorry is it true)
OSU is competing against the top SEC teams and Clemson...that's it.

Since 2000 (20 years)
OSU has won at least 10 games 17 times out of 19 years. (excl. 2020)
OSU has beaten Michigan in all but three years 2000, 2003, 2011 - (Record 17-3 vs Michigan)
OSU has won or shared the Big Ten title 11 times, including the last 4 straight (Michigan 3 times 2000, 2003, 2004)
OSU has won 2 national championships and lost once in the title game
OSU has made 4 of the 7 college football playoffs since 2015
OSU has had a TOP-10 recruiting class 14 times, and Top-5 class 10 times in the last 20 years

QUESTION: How does this total domination of the Big Ten by OSU end?

1. Bad things happen in Columbus

Very Bad Scandal - Entire coaching staff fired,
Bad Coaching transition when Ryan Day gets Hired by the NFL (or Texas A&M for generational money)
Violations, NCAA sanctions - OK, this is a joke but I had to include it.
They just start recruiting poorly (again, not happening)
What else???

2. Michigan catches up with OSU
Michigan becomes the dominant force in NIL in the country buying 5-star recruits by the busload (ok probably not happening)
Michigan makes an incredibly lucky or gutsy hire as the successor for Harbaugh, Someone who becomes the dominant coach in college football for the next decade. (No clue who that is)
Harbaugh recaptures the magic he had in his first two seasons (10-3, 10-3) with the new staff and then take the next step to be a peer to OSU
What else???

How does the OSU hegemony over the Big Ten End?
Rome, the British Empire, The Soviet Union, UCLA basketball, Princeton Football all once dominated their worlds, then collapsed
How does it end in Columbus?
