Great recruiter. Rah rah. Gets good assistant coaches like Moorhead (who saved his job imo). But when called upon to make in-game decisions, he gets exposed.
When he punted on 4th and 2 from OSU's 34 with 3ish minutes to go, what did he gain? 30 yards? If they go for it and make it, kick the FG then game over. What is 30 extra yards with 3 minutes to go?
If they fail and OSU scores then he has 3 time outs. (which happened)
If he didn't burn his timeouts so he could determine the worst play to call on 4th and 5/6 and they didn't make it, he could still get the ball back with a minute to go.
Not sure I have ever seen worse game management decisions in a very long time.
