He's obviously controversial at Michigan with what happened with Ed Martin...and his refusal to apologize or own it. And the overall Ed Martin incident certainly was a huge impact to the imploding of the program for 10+ years.
That being said...Webber was a teenager when he made these transgressions...I can understand him not wanting to fully disclose his mistakes and worst moments from back then. He already has to live with the timeout and never finishing either Final Four run with a title. Take away the Ed Martin scandal and he is still a goat (not GOAT)...that has to be hard to live with.
Many will never forgive him...whether he owns his mistakes or not. To each his own...
But Harbaugh is making him honorary captain and welcoming him back. We should honor him too...or stay quiet and classy. No need to boo and show disrespect.
