I remember a time (a billion years ago I know) when Michigan would occasionally impose its will on a rival and kick their A$$. No, last year's 4th quarter pucker, pucker, pucker, and hold on routine in EL doesn't count. it felt more like a trip to the dentist than a satisfying win.
anyway, I'm hoping the extra week gave our offensive brain trust time to figure a couple things out. If we try to "establish the run" and play the game in a phone booth and it's not working, there better be a plan B that's ready to be implemented quick.
at minimum we should be able to out-athlete these guys. IMO we are doing them a favor by not using the entire field, both horizontally and especially vertically. an "NFL offense" is only good if the players can execute it. we need more chunk plays in the passing game. grinding out drives and converting multiple 3rd downs sounds great in theory but you need 85 things to go right often times to score a TD.
there's a good chance the defense can win this game by themselves but if we put up 35 points we can win this game very comfortably and win going away in the 4th quarter.
