1. Our players' effort. I grew up watching the Bo teams, and the mantra was ALWAYS "Play your best game of the year against Ohio State". Nobodys became stars. Stars became Legends. I do not think ANY Michigan player had their "best game of the season" today. Nobody. That is truly stunning. And that failure is on the coaches as well as the players themselves. Hit those guys whenever you can...and hit the crap out of them. Don't just watch them going down to the ground near you...help them hit the ground hard.
2. Our lack of preparation in all 3 phases of the game. Perhaps it was there...but i didn't see anything unique or "special" saved for this game, or put in JUST to exploit a perceived OSU weakness or vulnerability. On the other side, the OSU coaches spotted crossing routes and Watson as major vulnerabilities for us in matchups, and they pushed those buttons over and over again (not just 1-2 times).
Both of those failings can be blamed on the "mental" aspect of the game.
(Oh, and without you fellow posters bashing me too much, i'd ask we get rid of the damn white surrender pants. Michigan has NEVER won a big road game wearing those pants. NEVER. Change up the Mojo.).
