1). Why do we as UofM fans constantly "presume guilt" when it comes to basketball recruiting ? The whole University of California-Berkeley recruiting class is very easily explained as many knowledgable posters have mentioned. And despite Cal's recent down years, Cal still has a strong basketball history, incredible school, awesome location, superior weather, etc.

With regards to "But Cal has sucked recently"….same could have been said about us not too long ago. Just as much as we remember the Fab Five days like "yesterday", the days of Jason Kidd, Jelani Gardner, Shareef Adbur-Rahim are remembered in similar fashion by many in the Golden State.

And for the whole "unique circumstances and undue influence" claims against Cal, well those same unsubstantiated claims could be leveled against us with regards to our SYF contingent / Wayne Brumm.

One only has to look at our very own beloved football program to see examples of how you can capitalize on "unique situations" that arise in recruiting:
1). Ryan Mallet's sister and her tenure at UofM law school
2). Chris Partridge's hiring
3). Rick Finotti's hiring

2). The continued blatant disregard to the possibility of recruiting from Junior Colleges…..

For our only national championship team in the modern era, we started junior college transfer Russel Shaw at WR.

3). Our other starting WR from that team was Tai Streets who has founded and coaches one of the most influential AAU teams in the Chicago area (Meanstreets) which has had Anthony Davis, Derrick Rose, and Eric Gordon play for him….

Why don't we use that connection ???
