serious. Iowa has a really good qb and he doesn't even get mentioned. Iowa is a good team. What makes you think anyone in the East is better than Iowa?

Talk about disrespect :). If you ask me...I think Iowa is the best overall team in the Big Ten and if go around a MSU or OSU board...they think it's going to be a walkover.

Thoughts?

Typical team under Ferentz, when he has his really good teams, solid line play that play tough, solid play from QB and RB. Nothing ever jumps out at you, they play hard and disciplined. Same with the defense... I would have thought that OSU's athletes and speed would give them some problems. MSU and Iowa would match up well with their line play, Cook, WR and RB would give them the edge.

They're a good team in an average division. They would have two or three losses in the East. I wouldn't mind seeing them crash the CFP though.

Iowa/MSU matchup should be a good one - they play the same brand of football. Fundamentally sound, just solid football. They don't shoot themselves in the foot and capitalize on mistakes by others.

This is a lie. That is not what is being said on the MSU board about Iowa.

You are right. That was over the top. I should have said that overall impression of Iowa is they aren't as good as MSU or OSU because they haven't been good recently and they play in the West.

Iowa isn't taken as seriously and one of the reasons is that people (imo) underestimate CJB.

You are right...I shouldn't have said it was going to be a walkover...just that Iowa isn't not as good as OSU or MSU or vice versa.

As a Iowa fan hope Michigan crushes OSU. Then the most over rated team in the Big 10 would be OSU. Just listened to Finebaum saying the MSU-OSU game was the best played game so far in college football. MSU also gets too much respect. They beat an Oregon team who's QB played with a broken finger, Michigan had them beat, Nebraska beat them, won by 2 over Indiana, blew a 21 point lead against Purdue barely beating them, barely beat Maryland, and finally beat an over rated OSU.

Most Hawk fans are glad that Rudock is doing well. It would be nice to see Iowa beat the Huskers and then play Michigan in the championship game.

Iowa's resume is somewhat like Ohio States. They won at home early in a close one over Pitt. They beat NW away.....and NW beat Stanford. Arguably, Iowas wins might be better than OSU's. And as a Spartan, we always struggle vs the Hawkeyes. While I'm cautiously optimistic if we should get to them, I expect it to be just like the rest of our season......last play will decide it.

Sunshine returns to Lincoln, after Iowa won 38-17 in 2013. He was a freshman back then, only mop up duty, but got a rushing TD.

The Hawkeyes are 4-0 on the road with a pair of wins over ranked opponents (#18 Wisconsin; #20 Northwestern). Iowa is one of only four schools with multiple road wins over ranked opponents: Alabama (3), Michigan State (2) and UCLA (2). The third Top 30 win would be at home vs. Pitt.

Junior C.J. Beathard is one of only four Power 5 Conference quarterbacks to win each of their first 12 career starts since 2010. The others include Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton, who led Auburn to the BCS National Championship in 2011; Oregon’s Darron Thomas, who lost to Newton in the 2011 BCS title game, but won the 2012 Rose Bowl; and Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, who led Florida State to the 2014 BCS National Championship. Beathard’s record in 12 career starts includes a 5-0 mark on the road, a 7-0 mark at home, and an 8-0 mark in the Big Ten.

If you're hanging your hat on wins over Wisconsin and Northwestern, go for it. Neither team can move the ball across the street. If Iowa survives Nebraska,
they will get a chance to prove themselves against a very good team from the East Division (finally).

Michigan State vs. Iowa ... win or lose on Black Friday, Iowa's likely Championship Game opponent. Beat State!
