I have been a long time, big-time skeptic about Joe because of his body of work in tackle football games before last night.
I must be fair. I must give him credit when he's earned the credit. Last night he did.
Last night, he was very good primarily because he was mistake free. He played within himself.
He was not chucking the ball all over the yard.
He was solid, consistent, efficient and unspectacular.
He ran the ball pretty well even though he's not fast
He seems very confident on short simple throws.
He practices excellent ball security.
If this is a baseline, he is going to be outstanding.
He still needs to work on accuracy on mid range in long throws, but Gattis knows how to use him.
If Joe can be this good every game we're gonna win a lot of games.
AND we're gonna NEED him to be a lot better to compete with Ohio State
He exceeded my expectations
I tip my hat to Joe Milton
