Hockey with a non-conference series this weekend against Arizona State. No Beecher again, still out with an upper body injury.

Mich leads 2-0 after one on goals by Ciccolini and Beniers.

ASU did a pretty good job defensively for most of the first period, but the Wolverine passing started to break them down late in the period.

Brisson and Bordeleau have so much chemistry together. One of them found Power on a great give and go, but Power just shot high. Cycled back around and Ciccolini tipped in a Bordeleau shot.

A couple minutes later Morgan hit Power with a nice diagonal pass to the goal line. He centered for Beniers who was alllllll alone and could have had a cup of coffee before putting it in.

Brisson had another good shift after that and found Pastujov back door. ASU hooked him and it probably saved a goal. We'll start the second on a 90 second power play. Shots were 15-2. Portillo is in...probably his last game of the year would be my guess. Hasn't had to do a whole heck of a lot. ASU had a couple of decent rushes off turnovers, but hasn't had much in the way of shots.
