isn't one of the best 4 teams in the country. You could have one back to back Nat'l championships. Could have...not guaranteed.

That coaching performance against MSU is legendarily awful. Among the worst game plan/lack of adjustments in the history of college football. You could have beaten Alabama.

UM looked like a AAA team against OSU and UM is punking Florida at the moment.

Here is my question to Buckeye fans. Which loss is worse...the UM 69 game or the 2015 MSU loss? Serious question. This buckeye team is damn good. It's 2nd string could go 9-3.

Any time a Buckeye team can put an ass whipping on mich & n.d. in the same season, it's a good year so to speak.

The worst part about not winning a championship a season in which your team is a heavy favorite, is the feeling that it was a lost opportunity. If the Buckeyes didn't win the NC last season, then the MSU loss would have been arguably the worst ever. But when your team is less than 12 months from winning it all, you kind of have the feeling that you're playing with house money.

Nah. Im quite content pummeling a couple of very good teams, 12-1, and win a big 6 bowl.

Let me see, aside from those 2 were in no particular order;

1) The tie
2) 1973 or 1974 MSU
3)1998 MSU
4)1975 UCLA Rose Bowl after already whoopin them in earlier in the year
5)All of Coop's famed loses to UM, 1995 was a great team
6)MSU in 2012 Big Championship

Fact is, it is so hard to run the table.

And the 96 team might have been better than the 95 one...I was at that one and was dumbfounded that UM won.

I'm guessing you're younger and may not appreciate how infrequently those opportunities come to your team.

a) I'm 39 - since I can remember sports (john cooper era) OSU has been 1 win from playing for a national title and/or playing for a title several times

1995
1996
1998
2002
2003
2006
2007
2010
2013
2014
2015

wether thats infrequent or not, i'll let you decide

b) sick to my stomache is reserved for losing to clearly inferior teams. 1995, 1996, 1998 come to mind. This year we never looked near as dominant as the cardale jones title run last year. While I'm dissapointed at not making the playoffs, its not that sinking feeling as I got in 95, 96 or 98. Actually, the worse I felt watching an OSU game was seeing the Troy Smith 2006 team look like a helpless baby against Florida.

that 96 team had the best start for any team I can remember

70-7 over rice
72-0 pitt
Beat #5 Notre Dame 29-16 (causing Holtz to say "I'll remember this one 'till they bury me")
Beat #4 PSU 38-7

butt like most cooper teams we got worse as the season went on. We eeked out the Indiana game at the end of the season, and then lost track of Tai Street to close out the season.

This year is worse than 1969 OSU lost in the last second in a game they should have won convincingly. That one forever falls on Meyer for a craptastic play called game.

OTOH With missing both our starting DT and NG and losing Bosa no way you hang with Alabama with that many holes in your front 4

Weirdest game I ever went to, UM scores on that Street slant, UM still trails OSU 9-7 and OSU had dominated the first half completely, and the crowd is acting like OSU has already lost. The rest of the way Michigan ran the same running play to Chris Howard over and over, scores two field goals and wins.

I was there also, weird indeed. Kinda like slow boiling a frog rather than dropping him into boiling water, it just crept up slowly and somehow turned into a freaking loss ..... quietest stadium I can ever recall, exiting. That hurt, shoulda been the payback and realization for a great team that got handled by Tim Biakafkjadgfjkgadksjfgajdkgtuka the year before. Rough .... it'll be a longggggg time before Buckeye fans will ever feel sorry for you guys lol ......:confused:
