the team has really good TE's. Isaac is going to really play this year. Looks much much quicker and realizes he needs to play well to get to the NFL. A better run game but still nothing to write home about although all the qb's seem to be able to scramble a little bit.

Defense looks really solid but was more impressed on the offensive side of the ball. QB development should be interesting over the summer but I would think O'Korn will sneak it out. Give UM an explosive dimension which will be contingent on not turning the ball over.

I think UM is going to surprise people this year because they have 3 things going for them on offense.

1. A qb that will be able to scramble in short yardage situations and get the ball to the TE's.
2. The TE's can both catch and block and have lots of depth.
3. The fb's and rb's will be able to churn out 3.5 yards per carry while the defense lets them control the clock.

I am going to say 10 wins should be the minimum expectation for this year. UM isn't Alabama good but this team is good enough to win the BT.

Last year I had 8 wins as the minimum expectation. 9 wins I would consider a good season. They won 10.

This year I have 10 as the minimum which is quite the expectation...that is a 2 game win jump. I would be happy with 10 wins in all honesty if one of the rivals is defeated. No Utah this year. We will see...but high expectations are back at UM.....finally.

What I saw was a team with massive potential. We should be better at every position with the possible exception of QB. It should be noted that it's tough to judge the QB's at this time from what we saw yesterday, because in reality there were a lot of walk-on's and no Chesson or Darboh. Harris and Perry were there but Jeremy Clark was locking down Harris.

The 2 biggest improvements should be at RB & LB.

RB - Deveon, Johnson, Isaac & Walker - Should be an excellent group.
LB - Peppers, McCray, Gideon, Bush & EMB - The talent upgrade from last year is significant.

Kemp, Winovich and Kinell all look like contributors.

At this point we are thin at WR, S & OL - There will be plenty of opportunity for the incoming frosh.
Newsome looks like he needs some work at OT. He looked a bit heavy and a step slow. I wonder if he was dinged up?

Isaac looked good, if he maintains the positive attitude. He must also hold on to the ball, especially in practice, and he will see the field. The offensive lines need to give the QB's more time to go through their progressions. This could happen once they start to play as a unit and stay healthy.

watching the game now. thought the LB play was pretty weak. McCraw got burned twice and run over once. Tackling needs improvement.

Our schedule is VERY soft this season. Ten wins wouldn't be much of an accomplishment.

I'm not saying we'll be in the playoffs - but we better be making a run at the conference championship.
