ESPN presents this topic. It comes across as genuinely concerned about the well being of players. I am sure ESPN doesn't do this for money.
Question: Why doesn't ESPN distance themselves from this violent sport? ESPN had their OTL show and if I recall correctly ESPN is offended by the insensitive native american term for a certain NFL team.
Why don't they distance themselves? Self interests. Here is the point. All these media organizations want to portray themselves as genuinely concerned about the exploitation of people but in actuality it's just a facade. It's really quite sinister. Glamorizing a violent sport and then condemning some other organization for the product.
Reminds me of when a tobacco company creates a campaign to stop teenage smoking. Sure.
