Since I've seen a few Fantasy threads pop up already and I'm in the middle of a slow draft right now, football is on the mind. So, I'm going to share some tips with my Forth Brethren.

First things first. Know your leagues settings. This is the most important thing I can stress. Is your league a PPR/ .5 per reception, standard, 4 or 6 pts per passing TD, keeper or Dynasty? All of these things make a huge difference.

Secondly, once you know your league, do your own research. If you play in enough leagues and dont have enough time to research, it is worth it to buy a subscription to one of the many FF sites like fantasyguru, 4for4, fantistics, Rosterwatch. Also Fantasypros has a lot of good free info.

I suggest putting your players into tiers- this helps make decisions easier and lets you get a good look of who might be available in the next round.

Another caveat to that is after round 3-4 you should really have an understanding of how everyone else is constructing their team. After rds 3-4 the rankings become more irrelevant and team need takes precedent. This will determine which players might slip. I.E. If team A has started out 0 RB (4WR/TE/QB) there's a good chance they are looking at a RB their next few picks.

Here's an Example of how I how my guys tiered currently (not sure how this is going to format)-
WR- RB- TE-
Antonio Brown
ODB
Julio

Hopkins Gurley
AJ Green AP
Robinson David Johnson
Dez Bryant Lamar Miller

Brandon Marshall Lev Bell(bump if not susp)
Cooper Devonta Freeman
Mike Evans Jamal Charles
Keenan Allen Gronk
Alshon Elliot*

Jordy Shady McCoy
Watkins
Cooks

I can format it how I like a certain player etc. Were I have guys in a tier is also not that important in most cases but I try to take best available in a tier until that tier is gone. I hate drafting Gronk in Rd 1 so I slide him down into mid rd 2 territory, again preference. Ive essentially tiered out the first two rds of a draft in 2 min of time.

I will say people are not high on McCoy right now like I am so he will slip to 3rd even 4th rd. Devonta is another guy slipping a bit right now.

My strategy this year is to go WR first 2 and sometimes 3 rds as a result of the recency bias from last year where 8/10 top rbs were busts. You can get a guy like Lacy, CJ Anderson, Hill in rd 3-6 because they had poor years last year for different reasons but should regain their first rd value from last year.

Having said that the last 2 Drafts I've done I have had pick 6/7 and the draft started out with all WR so I went Gurley. You have to adapt to your draft and let it come to you. Don't lock yourself in and end up reaching for a player early on just because that was your mindset going in.

Don't Reach at TE, let them come to you. I will be waiting on TE and target guys like Dwayne Allen later. If you aren't comfortable with letting everyone else grab theirs first look for Fleener, Ertz or Walker not Mr concussion Jordan Reed even though he could have a good year its not worth the risk in RD3 where his ADP is

Lastly but very important, WAIT ON QB THIS YEAR. This is a very deep year for QB and a lot of the "old" guys are slipping and they will put up huge points, Drew Brees/ Carson Palmer anyone. Again be Flexible if Rodgers, Luck, Cam slip and you don't like anyone in your other tiers, there is always a correct value to take any one player.

If this is well recieved I will post more info and sleepers but I need to Grab lunch before my next meeting so H8M3 out
