I was listening to one of the ESPNU shows yesterday and I thought they had a real interesting take on the Big Ten this season. The comment was around the potential need to run up the score where you can just to impress voters and the playoff committee. The discussion centered around the fact that the Big Ten is playing less games then many of the other Power 5 conferences, so there is a need to look more impressive in the games they do play. I thought it was an interesting take, and probably has some merit. Just to be safe, we should probably hang 50 on Sparty. What say you?
