In my opinion the biggest reason for, or flaw in DB’s defensive scheme if you will, is a lack of HAVOC plays on D. The yardage rankings are all well and good, but we consistently ranked near the bottom in HAVOC.
When the defenders are always trailing the defender there aren’t enough opportunities to flip the field, along with leaving yourself susceptible to huge plays.
In my opinion you have to make the O execute all the way down the field. I hope our next DC leads the country in turnovers forced.
