Checked this one again this morning. Hope the Wolverines can win big today...that may result in high comedy on that board tonight.
Well, I'm learning that UM has essentially not had a winning season since the 1970s, has never faced as talented a defense as Northwestern's (ever!), and has the reincarnation of Bo Jackson in their backfield. Surprisingly cheeky crowd given NU has done so poorly against UM in the Dark Ages...
Just back from the game...should I stop over to the NW board to enjoy the misery?
I was so tempted midway during the game to dump a truckload of trash talk on them, they were talking big time shite this week
Interesting. I live maybe 45 mins from Evanston. You see a bit of NU gear when they have their occasional good year. The rest of the time you see almost none. The few fans they have seem to lay low an awful lot.
Read through the responses to the post linked above the funniest was Eric claiming we haven't been good since the 70s

DJ, I wasn't one of the guys talking trash with you guys . . . all I said was that I expected a close, hard-fought game. Well, I'm showing up for my serving of crow. Even if I wanted to try to defend our play, I got nuthin'. Nothing deceiving about this score, it was absolutely indicative of the play. Credit where credit's due; my hat's off to you guys tonight.
Fair enough it was really Eric and especially Shakes3585, I mean rule number one of fan site interaction is you never want to extend yourself so much, no matter how confident you are, that you look like an ass on Saturday night. I was surprised to see that on the Northwestern site, though I know it could have been some poking the stick at the visitor stuff.
My favorite post was by the guy who wrote that their RB was the best he's ever seen since Bo Jackson. Yeah, ummm, no.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was playful hyperbole, it was fun calling him Bo, Jr. for the rest of the thread. 12 rushes for 25 yards will not make it easier to confuse him with his dad.
