Has the offense and play calling intentionally not shown hand?

First off, I know the offense hasn't executed well at times especially in the red zone. Speight hasn't looked really sharp and everything else that people are upset with.

But then I hear Harbaugh making positive comments about the offense and how he likes where they are offensively. Which I understand he has to say that as a coach. However, I'm a little confused on the play calling. Something works then they don't go back to it. Lack of screens and where are the big TE packages?

Got me thinking...they have been calling vanilla bc they really haven't needed to show the wrinkles or get creative yet. Part of me thinks Harbaugh is sitting there twiddling his fingers saying to himself...just wait until we unleash this sucker. Maybe just wishful thinking that the best is yet to come. I just think we will start seeing better and more creative play calling that will get our young athletes the space they need to make big plays on offense.
