I'm going to lease a 2016 428i grand coupe. MSRP is $47,879, negotiated down to $47,200. I plan to lease for 3 years. I already sent my deposit of $2,500 to secure the deal. My monthly payment will be $658 per month with taxes. Money factor is .00225. Residual value is $28,744.

Did I get a good deal?

1% off MSRP? You suck as a negotiator.
What car do you drive? I'm willing to bet if you're driving a luxury brand car it's either a) old, at least 7 yrs old or b) newer model 3-5 yrs old but with high mileage around 60K miles so you can say you can afford a luxury car. Lol.

I actually just leased a new 2016 Aston Martin. Sticker price was $245,000 but I was able to negotiate it down to $244,750. Did I get a good deal?
I'm assuming you graduated from UM. If so, how is your degree working for you?

7-8 years ago I was all about driving a luxury brand; since have realized it's a waste of money - especially with kids & dogs. Now I drive a Toyota o_O

Says the guy leasing a car. Leasing is another way to "say you can afford a luxury car."

If you can truly afford a luxury car, you'd buy it.

You sound jealous. There's no shame in admitting you can't afford the $400-$500 plus monthly payment to lease a luxury car. Stick to driving a bottom feeder models from Fiat, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Kia or Hyundai.

Jealous? No, I'm just intelligent enough to know that if you're looking for a sound financial decision, you wouldn't be considering a lease.

And I drive a luxury car, so does my wife.
