The Hills of Bloomfield
Michigan lost a game it should not have lost

the team was flat

the gameplan flawed

our young players played young

our talented d line did well against an anemic msu running game but got no pressure

as such a mediocre QB had a career day and the trouble spot we all knew could be an issue was an issue at CB (will add the early tickey tac PI and holding calls didn’t help and funny how these all went one way in the game but the refs didn’t cause this)

players need to be in position to make plays and Michigan’s players were not Put in that position

yes

the issue is coaching

MSU was In max protect and our d line and blitizes didn’t get home

we didn’t do this and Joe was under pressure

why

bad coaching on one side good on the other

leaving Vince - green and Jalen on an island (notice the didn’t really test Dax) was stupid and dogmatic

the fact there was no plan to adjust when a team exposed this weakness (ever hear of a little zone d like msu used)

a true what the &@#% moment (and I’ll admit I had more then a few of those at the TV set)

the o line got owed for the most part but so did the d line

The push on 4th and 2 With 22 seconds left said it all

to have any chance the d line needs to attack and they were pushed back like b words

again what the $&#%

was clear that Haskins was your best rb yet he isn’t played too much

stupid wildcat when you have momentum inside the 3 and then he throws instead of your qb

what the &@&

no downfield passing game when you have a guy whom can throw it 80 yards on a dime

it goes on and on

the net sum

1 - state wanted it more

2 - they were better coached

3 - were prepared (this with a new staff and much less practice time)

4 - state deserved to win

What can be done

to start the coaches need to do their job better and put the time in a position to compete and have backup plans to go to when the first plan doesn’t work

they also need to get the team motivated

being flat against State is a very rich rod thing

Joe Milton taking the blame is very big of him (it is what a qb does but was wrong in this case)

but his o line was man handled

did Joe get too tight in the 2nd half yes

but he was running for his life at times and while he came close to throwing a pick - he didn’t - joe had a good day when a great day was needed to overcome the items above

all of this is on the coaches

that simple

not sure the fire Jim talks makes sense

not sure whom we replace him with

but will say have sometimes have thought we have the wrong Harbaugh as HC
