I think all the people saying "where is Jim's fire? Where is his cockiness? He's lost his edge...."
He didn't have it (or at least subdued it) because he knew his talent level was either very low or young and very inexperienced. (Primarily at QB and on the D) He couldn't back anything up, at least not confidently. So he had to bite his tongue. This years team is able to back it up much better, so we're seeing it in his attitude and outlook. He's much more confident.....and it shows.
