founded near UC Santa Barbara, maybe the nation's prettiest campuses stocked with enormous amounts of eye candy, the Habit apparently caters to the college crowd and encourages every midwest boy for a visit.

Double cheeseburger was alright; salad was large, fries looked good, onion rings tasted like anywhere else. We're off to the Shake Shack in Los Angeles soon.

My rankings to date:

1. In-N-Out
2. 5 Guys (a distance 2nd)
3. The Habit (which is easy to break)

Thanks for the update.

Wait, is Shake Shack in LA now? I figured it was too regional to be in our discussion.

I have eaten at the Upper West Side one in Manhattan a couple years ago. Excellent burgers. I would rank them over 5 Guys.

Again ... I don't often choose to clog my arteries, but when I do ... I'll have whatever Kate is having....
