I meant to post this message earlier in the week but time just got away from me.
During the summer I decided that I wanted to take my wife and son to the Michigan v. Florida game to a) see the game, but also b) to see the stadium. I started looking around the net at what it would cost me. Then, while listening to The Wolverine Podcast I heard the advertisement for this offer from Gridiron Trips.com. To make a long story short.....(although this seems long) I decided to try it. It really seemed WAY to cheap to be anything good but I thought I "what the hell".
As a point of reference, we usually stay at high end hotels when we are on vacation. We have some pretty high standards. Based on the cost of this entire trip package, I had some pretty low expectations...........boy oh boy oh boy, was I ever wrong.
The hotel actually turned out to be surprisingly outstanding. Very nice facility. We were greeted at the front desk with a welcome gift (from the Gridiron Trips folks) which was a very nice touch. it was very fun kibitzing with both the Michigan fans and the Florida fans that were all Gridiron Trips customers.
Game day proved to really great. The bus that took us to the tailgate was THE nicest bus I've ever been on.......no exaggeration. Hell, it surpassed the interior of my Mercedes. And then when we got to the tailgate, the food and cocktails (all included) were fantastic. The tailgate was held at "Bodacious Barbaque"......and boy was it. Again, more kibitzing with the many, many Florida fans.
A short 10 minute walk got us to the stadium........and of course the game was incredible. Made for a great return bus ride with the Florida fans. All in all, and I can't think of anything that could have made this trip any better.
As I told the gentleman that actually started Gridiron Trips........"you folks undercharged and over delivered".
Thanks Chris and John and Brandon for allowing these folks to be a sponsor on your podcast. If these folks put together a package for the bowl trip, I would highly recommend it.........and as I said earlier, we have some very high standards. Gridiron Trips did not disappoint.
