Sleight is the 'elephant in the room'. He's thrown three pick-sixes in his last two games, both against ranked opponents. Yesterday he also overthrew at least three passes to open receivers which would have produced another 14-18 points. The Florida score should have been close to 43-48 to 3.
Speight won't be tested again until we play Penn State in late October. Can Harbaugh afford to wait until we play another good defense to see if Speight throws more pick-sixes?
Does anyone else think the QB competition should be re-opened during the next few games. We know the kinds of mistakes Speight makes against the pressure of good defenses. Shouldn't we see how John O'Korn might do in similar circumstances?
