Gotta say that Dombrowski picking up Jackson for Joyce is

looking like a steal. I like Joyce, but I view him as a fourth outfielder type of guy. I don't think he'll ever be a regular outfielder (600 at-bats) for a major league team, but rather a solid fourth outfielder who is capable of stepping in and playing when a starting OF goes on the DL. To get a guy like Jackson, who has really good stuff, for Joyce is mind boggling to me. The Rays must really have a loaded rotation to trade a 14-game winner (in 2008) away for a fourth outfielder. Hats of to DD for that trade.

Agree. Kind of makes up for giving Jair Jurrjens away.

Renteria was worthless.

Gallaraga was high-way robbery, as well. But, Jurrijens

would look awfully nice now. It would mean we either wouldn't have to rush Porcello or we wouldn't have to rely on Bondo (who I fear is done like dinner).
