Kid stuck it out, kept working at it, and maintained a great attitude. He just needed some success to get that confidence back. I must say though, it was downright shameful that some in that game thread seemed pleased that Speight was hurt. The fact is, we need him, whether it's as a starter or a backup. Unfortunately, I don't think neither will lead us to a playoff berth or Big Ten title. And that's not even close to this team's biggest issue.
Our o-line is so inconsistent and bad that we actually need a mobile QB to have a chance at moving the ball. Hopefully they improve before we face a good defense.
