Got ti give Kanye West credit for discovering this Paul McCartney guy:)*

HAAA! I have a friend from college, and the secretary where

he works supposedly has never heard of Elvis, U2, Frank Sinatra, and (I think) the Beatles.
She has to be lying or is the most out of touch person ever.

Totally agree, but a lot of people younger than 25....

Never heard of McCartney and think Kayne West gave this old guy his big break. McCartney has more talent in one hair follicle than West does in his whole body. It's unbelievable how out of touch some people are.

Paul performed on the Grammys with Kanya and Rihanna. It was one of the worst performances of the night besides Kanya's solo performance. Paul was good though.

I used to listen to The Beatles nonstop growing up. I thank my mom for introducing me to the oldies like that.

I listened to Wings extensively when I was much younger and I got to tell you,

McCartney? He's good, but he aint that good. If it wasn't for his association with the Beatles, he wouldn't have a quarter the attention he gets.

"McCartney? He's good, but he aint that good."

Disagree. Have you ever heard him play bass? Flip on the headphones and listen to his innovative style on songs like, "Something" or, "Rain". He and Lennon are viewed as the most successful songwriters in history for good reason and even after The Beatles, he still wrote some very good songs, although i'd agree with you that those pale in comparison and that is an ode to Lennon's leadership in telling him, "NO!" McCartney has been voted best bass player many times throughout the 60's and 70's by Rolling Stone for a reason and it wasn't popularity.
