Game was a lot of fun. Both teams played extremely hard, and I think we got a clear representation of where both programs stand.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that Minnesota was clearly the better team, the Wolverines were gifted a victory due to a long string of unbelievably corrupt officiating (The last TD was a TD as he didn't maintain possession till he was in the endzone, Michigan had 5 guys lined up offside on the last snap, the penalty on 3rd and long where Leidner got body slammed was mysteriously picked up immediately after Harbaugh complained to a ref that 'you can't call that', which was weird as I had no idea that Harbaugh had final say on calls made on the field, your DBs were mugging our receivers with impunity pretty much all game, etc.)

Honestly, I never blame the refs. EVER. But on a day that should have been all about Jerry Kill, the guys in stripes made sure to give the victory to the Wolverines.

Anyway, good luck the rest of the way. The good news is that everybody knows who the better team has been 2 years running---The Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Go Gophers! Ski-U-Mah!!

You're right. The officiating was corrupt. Two of your player's should have been ejected for targeting which was somehow missed. Oh, and none of the UM
player's were offsides since your center moved the ball up before every snap. But I'm glad you don't complain about the officiating EVER.

The fact that you think it was targeting shows you don't 'get' football.

Also, if the center moved the snap up as you say then it should have been a penalty on Minnesota. If so the Gophers kick a FG and likely win in OT with the support of a rabid home crowd.

I'll assume you're one of those 'Michigan fans' who didn't actually go to Michigan.

Aww sour grapes?? Keep on crying. Michigan won...Minny lost. Fair and square. You coach and team showed idiotic game management at the end. Not to mention the receiver was NEVER in the end zone on the reception you mentioned. His knee was clearly down well before the goal line. But keep crying. It's fun to listen to, especially from somebody who does not know a thing about the game. No jug for you!!!!

You not realizing that centers move the ball forward like that a lot in games shows you don't "get" football.

If he didn't have possession until he reached the Endzone as you say, it should have been incomplete then because his knee was clearly down well short of the Endzone. If he didn't have possession while his knee hit the ground, incomplete pass. Sounds like the ref gave you guys a gift on that play! Haha!

I can't believe what I just read. The Golden Goofer coach spends 19 seconds on 2 plays -- one totally miserable -- and gets stuffed on a QB sneak. A good coach would have: 1) q

quick pass; 2 QB sneak or whatever; call timeout; 3, anything including a rollout. To read that Minnesota won just plain funny. If this is the "new" Gopher coach I think the fan base will be pleasantly disappointed.

Minn. played lights out. Probably the best in 3 years so anyone should give them credit. UM on the otherhand looks sad particularly at the LB position. And here I thought the UM teachers had the guys over that hurdle.

To make sure I understand the Minn postings, UM beat MSU and lost the Little Brown Jug on Saturday. Right?

Though I am not sure of the motives of the OP, Claeys did a very good job overall considering he took over on Wednesday as head coach. Time will tell, but not a bad effort for his first official game.

if you are really a minny fan you cant be more than 15 years old. you sound like someone who just wanted a reaction because you make no sense. michigan has lost one game at minnesota since 1967, and has won 41 0f the last 45 games played for the jug. so i think you have alot more problems playing michigan than what may or may not of happened in one game.

Pistol--I like to live in the present, and the Minnesota Golden Gophers took it to Umich 2 years running.

Honestly, I'm just pissed we don't get to
play you guys next year.

Frankly, Michigan/Minnesota is one of the most important matchups in CFB history. It's great to see you guys back at the top and while unprecedented #s of injuries to players and the return of Jerry's epilepsy derailed our season, I exoect the Jug game to be important for years to come.

**Seriously, you guys have a great program. Good luck from here on out!

I legitimately hope to meet you guys again in the 2016 Big Ten Title game.

How are you enjoying the Jug? Oh wait, you don't have it. That must suck.
Jerry Kill Jr is going to have to be better at clock management going forward.

oh im sorry, i forgot that all history was wiped out after you won last year. you prove my point you must be very young just from your attitude. if you make it past 20 years old we will see if you just ignore the past. what a stupid thing to say.

This post is utter nonsense!!! The revoked TD was absolutely the right call - the rule states that it is where the ball is when your knee touches the ground, not where your momentum carries you. You may want to read up on your college football there pal. Also, there were 2 holding calls on both your TDs that were never called either, and a clear hold on the play that set you up at the 1 yard line. Also, how targeting was not called on the hit to Ruddock is beyond me...at the very least that should have been a 15 yard penalty and it was not that either.

The officiating did not dictate the outcome of the came, the Minnesota coach did. He made the same mistake in both halves - he should have throw in the first half to make it a 6 point game instead of 2 and he made the same mistake at the end of the game. Minn played lights out, but as Michigan learned a couple weeks ago - the game is 60 minutes long, not a second less.

Nobody was offside, your center moved the ball forward. The LOS was about where his helmet was, and nobody was even close to that. The call that Jim was mad about was NOT a penalty, so not sure why you're so mad about that. Leidner got tackled, albeit a bit violently, but this is football, not chess.

If you're going to say that was a TD because he didn't maintain possession until he was in the endzone, then it was an incomplete pass, as it had touched the ground during that process. You can't have that one both ways. Either he caught it cleanly and the ground didn't help him catch it, or it was incomplete as it touched the ground.

That was a lotta sour grapes. You guys were EXTREMELY lucky on a NUMBER of throws Leidner made. A few ended up being so poor, that our DB's good coverage put him in a bad spot. A few went through our hands, and on that long 3rd down screen play, you were down a half yard short but they gave you a first down. We all saw what happened when you needed a half a yard, didn't we?

The LOS was the half yard line, per the ref review. That ball was NOWHERE NEAR the half yard line when he snapped it.

There was another play where a Minny defender hit Rudock in the chin with the crown of his helmet, no call. It was clearly targeting.

Everyone of your responses shows you don't "get" football. And your lucky you don't play Michigan next season. It would not be pretty for Minny.

LMAO!!! His knee hit the ground before reaching the goal line , dude lay off the bong for a minute

You guys keep deluding yourselves. I'll just assume you guys went to directional Michigan schools.

Once again, the game was OVER after Leidner got body slammed and the officials threw the flag. That would have been 1st down and you wouldn't have gotten the ball back. But Harbaugh yelled at the official and because his name is Harbaugh the ref picked up the flag, Minnesota punted out of its own endzone with the backup punter, and that gave you guys the lead.

It was clearly a penalty. The game was over. I almost can't believe how stupid you guys are.

Why do you keep saying that Leidner being body slammed is some sort of illegal play in football? There was no horse collar and no face mask.

And I went to Michigan, so save your weak little insult.

Minnesota hasn't beaten Michigan at home since 1977? Pathetic. GTFO here.

Well I guess theirs always one in every bunch , my friends that are gopher fans wouldn't claim this simple mother!@#$% .... good game to watch, I actually would have expected go eat for the QB sneek to go for the win , I liked the call I just thought the clock management was the worst, but I'd have ever kept trying to pound it as many downloads s as I could from their.

Wow. You'd think that you'd be able to handle losing to the Wolverines better... since it happens most of the time :)
