I've heard this a few times already - Kelly to the NFL.

But outside of a few nd guys, I haven't seen any smoke at all.

Kelly is a good, not great coach and I think he's plateaued at this point. He's got nd to the point where they are being mentioned as a team that could make the playoffs - then crickets.

ND fans are the biggest a-holes in college sports. Kelly has done a good job. He's one fumble away from beating Clemson at Clemson; 15 seconds or less to beat Stanford, at Stanford. OSU ran them over but OSU ran over a lot of teams.

The biggest question I would have looking around the country, just exactly whom is the coach to lead the Irish out of their complaints? Saban? Can't afford him. JH? Won't happen. Meyer? Basically, there's no one at the level of Kelly laying around because other schools would have signed them this off-season.

And next season it looks like A&M and Texas will be shopping so where do they go?
