My two cents:
1) welcome back Jourdan Lewis. What a difference it is to have a lock down corner. It frees up peppers and the linebacker to blitz. Stribling gets a lot of action but he's a tough in your face corner. I don't mind the interference calls on him.
2) love Harbaugh going for it on 4th and goal. Loved it when he called a timeout at end of half to get a punt return and when he wanted a review on 4th down even when he's up 35 points.
3) love the 4 man rotation at running back. 2 have power and two have speed.
4) Griese made good point about speight's footwork. Bad feet causes low passes. Speight is improving every game. I like his decision making.
5) Speed speed speed. Michigan is a quicker team thanks to freshman like Evans, Mcdoom, and Gary.
6) Hate seeing Clark get hurt on special teams but it's like Griese said. Michigan is so good on special teams because they play their best players
7) Franklin kicking a field goal down 28 when you need 7??? Don't understand that.
8) Gary will only get stronger and better. Scary thought. He's benefitting from extra playing time due to injuries.
9) not many marquee home games for recruits...sure is nice to blow out teams when they are on campus.

I am not sure I take anything away from this game other then the fact that Michigan is finally absolutely demolishing teams it should demolish. They are not playing down to their opponents. The PSU defense is pretty shattered so it was only a matter of time that we put up that many points on them.

There are 2 main areas of concern for me still:
  1. Kicking game - I have no idea whether it's good or bad???
  2. Deep threats - we still have not established it yet - still no deep throws to either Darboh or Chesson - would have loved to see us take some shots today but we absolutely did not at all.
I am hoping those facets of the game exist and JH knows that his first 4 opponents are weak enough that we can win with his B game. Really hoping we show some new wrinkles on offense next week because I think running on Wisconsin will be really tough.

BTW, would not surprise me if Wisconsin is ranked ahead of us this week - they deserve but it won't matter anyway since the winner next week will determine the better team.

By that token Colorado, Hawaii, Penn State, and UCF have all really sucked too. Too early in the season to determine who is good or bad at this point, other then the fact that both teams are 4-0. We have not been tested and I would argue that Wisconsin has played better opponents then us to date.

They have all sucked but Colorado just beat Oregon. My point was M was preseason ranked much higher so it would be pretty hard to jump them with no marquee wins! Rankings don't start making any sense until around week 6

Agree... Probably more like 5 or so games into conference play actually

Definitely agree that Speight is improving each game, much like Ruddok did.
Also, love how hard it is to take him down.
Someone on BWI said they didn't realize we had Ben Rothisbuger on our team lol.
