Team attitude and toughness was clearly different than last year.

Harbaugh seemed to have held them together. Even after the pick 6 and the failure to get a 1st down on 3/1 and 4/1, you came back to score and had a shot at an on side kick.

Your defense was solid.

This was probably just a bad game for Rudock and may have been attributable to typical first game communications. He was not a TO machine at Iowa and I think this game will not be what is seen often.

The one clear weakness was the inability to establish a consistent running game. Smith ran hard and punished tacklers, but the running game seldom produced first downs and then you had to pass and the ints really hurt.

In summary, reminded me of the old school Michigan with a bunch of tough kids and a running game complemented with a short passing game. Running game just not there yet.

Still see 8-4 or 9-3

I agree. Michigan is so much better coached this year it is ridiculous. Harbaugh manages the team and manages the game like a true coach. Rudock did have a bad night and you are correct about him being new to a system. It is bad that Harbaugh had to find a transfer 5th year guy to lead the offense this year but he will be fine and the Wolverines will still win 9-10 games this year. The defense is outstanding right now holding a very good fast offense to 17 points only. Next year, O'korn will lead the Wolverines. I expect Morris to possibly transfer like I predicted 3 months ago.
