Would it be fair to say that they are pretty much done recruiting big bruiser types like Doyle and Davis and will concentrate more on guys who can play like Wagner?
The almost immediate move of Johns to the 5 (sure seems that way) and the way they're recruiting guys like Castleton, etc.....seems to me like they wouldn't take a guy like Davis these days, after the success they've had with Wagner and playing five-out.
Would they even recruit a guy like Morgan these days?
The game at the NBA level and the college level has changed a lot even since they recruited Davis. And it seems like telling recruits they can be the next Wagner is working for them. (Kind of like the multiple guys every year who say they're being recruited as the next Jabrill Peppers.)
Beilein has always had stretch four men....seems like now he's very enamored of the idea of a stretch five being a constant.
