I spoke with someone close to Cutter Boley's recruitment after I spoke with Cutter himself today to get a better feel of where Michigan stands with him in his recruitment.
Boley said that the Wolverines 'sit very high' for him and I am of the belief that the Wolverines are closer to the top of the leaderboard compared to the back half of the 10-12 schools he will cut his list down to. In fact, you could make the argument that the Wolverines might hold the top spot, too.
Speaking to someone close to Boley, I am told that he speaks highly of the Wolverines often and is particularly fond of Jim Harbaugh and the relationship the two have built. Adding Kirk Campbell into the mix, who Boley really enjoyed spending time with on Sunday, and the Wolverines have two very strong presences in Boley's recruitment.
I am hesitant to say that the Wolverines are flat-out the leader here because in-state Kentucky is pushing hard but the Wolverines have laid out a very strong case for Boley and there is optimism from Michigan's side of things that they could land him if they persist.
